Friday 8th July saw the Minster Dental Centre take part in raising money for their chosen charity Beaumond House Community Hospice. Many were cycling in memory of someone who had received care at the hospice. Others took part in raising money for a very good cause.
Most of the staff took part and managed to cycle 105 miles in 6.5 hours on a static exercise bike, with patients giving generously, one visitor in particular insisting on having a go too!
The day was a huge success raising £665.22 with a cake sale and a raffle, where prizes were kindly donated from local businesses such as Burleys gifts, Southwell Garden Centre, King Street Interiors, Last Night I Dreamt and Southwell Racecourse, to name but a few.
In addition to this team effort Minster Dental Centre Chiropodist, Julie Ingram handed over a cheque for £510 to the Acting Dean of Southwell, Canon Nigel Coates and Colonel Tim Richmond, the Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, at the Minster Window Ceremony on Sunday 10th July. This was the amount raised from the sale of homemade cards in the Minster Dental Centre.
