On Wed 14th June two of the Dental Nurses, Alison Pogson and Megan Mulraney from the Minster Dental Centre visited the Prebend Pre-school in Southwell. The theme for the session was “People Who Help Us” and the aim was to introduce the children, aged between 2 and 4 years old, to the role of the dental team. They used a variety of different methods to promote the importance of visiting the Dentist. By using role play the children were able to demonstrate how to brush their teeth using our giant toothbrushes on our very own Minster Teddies. They were also encouraged to try on different protective clothing that they may see the dental team wearing. Finally, the children discussed good and bad food, finishing off with a colouring exercise. Megan and Alison enjoyed the visit and they provided all the children with a goodie bag and a certificate for their hard work.
